Hi, I'm Sriram.
I've been building and tinkering with computers since I was 7 — call it 30+ years hands-on. By day I'm a data and AI expert, 19 years in. Comp Sci degree from the University of Waterloo.
Nights and weekends, I'm the neighbourhood computer guy. I do this because I genuinely love it — building rigs, taming Linux, Windows, and macOS, rescuing photos off a dying drive at midnight. If your machine is misbehaving, I want a crack at it.
Silly Monkey Agency is my registered Ontario sole proprietorship. Properly insured. Real receipts, not "cash only, no records." You're in good hands.
Quick answers
Do you actually come to my house?
For larger machines or when carrying a PC across town isn't practical, yes — within roughly 50 km of Brampton. There's a $25 travel surcharge for on-site jobs. For laptops and most repairs, drop-off at my home workshop is faster and cheaper.
What if you can't fix it?
If you drop it off and I can't solve it, the $40 diagnostic is on me — you don't pay. For house calls, the diagnostic is non-refundable because the travel time costs me either way. Either way, I'll tell you straight if it's not worth fixing.
Is my data safe?
Yes. Before any major work I image the drive (your data, separately, on encrypted storage). I don't snoop, I don't keep copies, and everything is wiped after the job is done. If you specifically need data recovery, that's a separate conversation.
How is this different from Geek Squad / Staples?
You talk directly to the person doing the work. No upsells, no tier-1 script reader passing you to a tier-2 tech. Same-week turnaround, not "we'll call you in 7-10 business days." And honest pricing — flat fees wherever possible.
Can you help me with AI?
Yes, but only at the friendly intro level. The $75 starter session is a 60-minute hands-on walkthrough for individuals or sole proprietors — covering ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, Gemini, n8n, and how to actually get value out of them. It's not enterprise strategy or custom AI builds. If that's what you need, I can refer you to a proper consultancy.
How do I pay?
Cash, e-transfer (preferred), Interac, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or tap your card on my phone (Stripe Tap to Pay). Either way you get a real receipt.
How fast will you reply?
Within 2 business days. I have a day job, so I can't promise same-hour turnaround — but I won't leave you hanging either.
